Continuation of Assistance to the National Institute of Magistrates (NIM) and Training Centre for Clerks (TCC)

The consortium led by B&S Europe provided assistance to NIM and TCC in institutional strengthening and capacity building with respect to the legal institutional set up, operation, human resources support (education, training of the staff and trainers) and infrastructure development (equipment & IT included). 

Extensive training needs assessment for NIM and defined curricula development and training methods for sitting judges, prosecutors and clerks Training of NIM and TCC trainers and administrative staff. Training in fight against corruption and fraud among other issues; Organisation of one annual conference on specific matters of legal approximation with participation of EU and local magistrates, experts of public administration, university teachers, pleading lawyers, police officers, etc. Organization of bi-monthly donor meetings for Ministry of Justice, Project Management Unit and donors; Sustainable development of NIM and TCC initial and continuous courses curricula, mainly in EU Law, transposition of the “acquis communautaire”, new crime areas and Human Rights, case management, change strategy, IT skills, etc.
