GEORGIA | Seminar on Competition Law and Policy – ECJ Practice
Yesterday, a seminar on practice of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) in the field of Competition Law and Policy was organized in Tbilisi in the framework of the EU funded technical assistance project “Support to the Georgian Competition Agency,” implemented by B&S Europe consortium.
Assistants to Georgian Judges and representatives of the Competition Agency of Georgia participated in the event. The seminar was organized within the framework of the project training cycle on Competition and Judicial System and provided the participants with the first-hand information from ECJ Référendaires on cases related to abuse of dominant position and anti-competitive agreements as well as with insights on procedural issues.
The first deputy chairman of the Competition Agency of Georgia and the Team Leader of the EU project addressed the audience with opening speeches, Mr Fabio Filpo and Mr Igor Taccani from European Court of Justice delivered presentations at the seminar. Presentations were followed by interactive discussions.
