MONTENEGRO | 4th online project Steering Committee
Last month, the project “Technical Assistance for Capacity Support to the Transport Sector and EU Acquis Alignment in Montenegro” has met yet another milestone with the organisation of its 4th online project Steering Committee meeting on 16 April 2021.
Our three key experts and backstopping team were joined in the meeting by representatives of the project Steering Committee such as the European Delegation to Montenegro, the Ministry of Capital Investments, Railway Infrastructure of Montenegro, Public Works Administration, and the Ministry of Finance, for a detailed presentation of the 4th Quarterly Progress Report (December 2020 – March 2021).
The project Team Leader, Key Expert 2 and 3 highlighted the project achievements under the results 1 and 2, aiming at supporting the alignment of the drafting of national legislation and strategies with the EU Acquis for Transport and at increasing the planning and management capacities of the institutions involved with the implementation of transport policies and projects.
The Committee also discussed the planning for the following three-month period, including mentoring, training, and online seminars, which will be delivered until improvement of the COVID-19 situation. The activities planned will also focus on preparation and implementation of the missions for 2021 and providing assistance in alignment with EU Acquis and drafting process of Montenegrin legal acts.
The project “Technical Assistance for Capacity Support to the Transport Sector and EU Acquis Alignment in Montenegro” has started in December 2019 and has a a duration of 48 months.
